This thought-provoking participatory performance, was held in a London park. In this engaging piece, audience members were invited to throw red water-filled balloons at Aparna while vocalizing qualities they deemed necessary for societal acceptance in the UK. Through this interactive exploration of power dynamics, Aparna temporarily relinquished control, allowing participants to engage freely with the balloons. Initially perceived as playful, the performance soon elicited hesitation and discomfort among participants as they grappled with the implications of imposing societal norms. As Aparna became a passive object of the audience's actions, the piece sparked introspection about conformity, coercion, and the complexities of social integration.
